IPWHR Rules & Regulations

 

1. The I.P.W.H.R. is a BREED REGISTRY and as such has only 3 requirements for registration or showing of IPWHR registered horses.

A. NO Heavy Shod or Big Lick horses will be accepted for registration with IPWHR.

B. NO IPWHR registered horses are permitted to be exhibited in Heavy Shod or Big Lick classes.

C. The owner of any IPWHR registered horse which is exhibited in Heavy Shod classes or receives an "upheld" HIO or USDA ticket for unilateral soring, scar rule, foreign substance, etc. will have all rights to do business with IPWHR, "suspended", for one year from the time of decision.  The owner of any IPWHR registered horse which receives an "upheld" HIO or USDA ticket for bilateral soring, pressure shoeing or repeated violations will have their privilege to do business with IPWHR "revoked" for life.  Both the year's penalty and the lifetime penalty shall include, but not be limited to: registration of foals, transfers, and/or the conducting of ANY business with IPWHR. HOWEVER, a new "non-related" 'owner of record' is eligible to re-apply for reinstatement of IPWHR registration status of the horse. (The ONLY exception to this will be that owners who have their privileges revoked for life CAN exercise the "transfer" of their horses to new owners).

2. All persons conducting business with IPWHR must be eighteen (18) years of age, or older.

3. Any person or persons willfully registering or recording false papers or pedigrees will be forever barred from making any further transactions with IPWHR and the false transactions shall be cancelled.

4. The IPWHR shall not be held liable for any delays or losses due to the vagaries of the Postal System.  To insure timely registrations, transfers, alterations, etc., applicant may request (and use) certified mail or Special
Delivery at his/her own expense.

5. Registration of already registered Adult Horses: provide IPWHR with a copy of the Gaited Registry  papers and proof of blood typing/DNA testing along with check or money order made out to IPWHR in the amount of Twenty Five Dollars ($25.00) along with a filled out Application for Request for IPWHR Registration form.

6. Registration of non-blood typed /DNA tested, registered horses: provide IPWHR with a copy of Gaited Registry papers on horse, 2 photos of horse (showing identifying marks), along with a check or money order made out to IPWHR in the amount of Twenty Five Dollars, ($25.00) and a filled out Application for Request for IPWHR Application form. Within a 3 month period of time, provide IPWHA with proof of bloodtyping /DNA testing results, which will be filed with this horse's records and applied to this horse's Certificate of Registration.

7.  Registration of  non-blood typed/DNA tested, non registered horses: provide IPWHR with a copy of Registration papers on both parents and a check in the amount of Twenty Five Dollars ($25.00) Made out to IPWHR, and 2 photos of horse to be registered (showing any markings) along with a filled out Application for Request for IPWHR Application form.  Within a  3 month period of time, provide IPWHR with proof of  blood typing /DNA testing results which will be filed with this horse's records and applied to this horse's Certificate of Registration.

8.  Geldings will require no blood typing or DNA testing.
